Congratulations to our 8th Grade Kickball Champions on an exciting championship game! The 8th grade team defeated 6th grade with a final score of 9–5. A special shoutout goes to Carlos Ramos, our Kickball Championship MVP, and Heaven Tinsley-Hay, our Musical Chairs winner! We extend a special thank you to our P.E. teacher, Dr. Mays, for organizing and supporting such a fun event, and to our teachers and staff for their support in helping make the celebration a success. We also thank our scholars for exhibiting model behavior, teamwork, and school spirit throughout the game. Way to represent AFMS with pride!
Allendale-Fairfax Middle School invites all 8th grade parents and guardians to attend an 8th Grade Parent Meeting on Thursday, April 30, from 5:30–6:30 PM in the Media Center. This meeting will be led by Mr. Reid and will include important information about the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, end-of-year trip, student expectations, upcoming deadlines, and more. We look forward to seeing our 8th grade families as we prepare for a successful and memorable end of the school year!
Come out tonight to our April Board/Community Meeting starting at 6:00 PM in the AFHS Multipurpose Room. This evening marks a special occasion as we announce the renaming of our baseball field in Fairfax to honor Vern Taylor. We want the community to gather and celebrate him on this accomplishment as he has worked tirelessly and diligently to maintain the integrity of our field and its players. Superintendent Dr. Cave will share operational updates followed by departmental updates from Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, and Finance. The best part of the evening is when we get to recognize our staff and students who went above and beyond, so don't miss out! Please note that location has changed to our high school.

Don't forget about our Board/Community Meeting on Monday at 6:00 PM in the AFHS Multipurpose Room. We will be holding a renaming ceremony for our Fairfax Baseball Field which will be dedicated to local leader, Vern Taylor. During the meeting we will share updates from departments and also discuss upcoming testing and policies. Stay until the end to watch us celebrate our Staff and Students of the Month for their achievements.
Our monthly Board and Community Meeting will be held next Monday at 6:00 PM in the AFHS Multipurpose Room. This meeting will be especially meaningful as we proudly rename the Fairfax Baseball Field in honor of Vern Taylor, a true pillar of our community. We will also share important updates on finances, academics, staffing, policies, and testing. We look forward to closing the evening by celebrating our outstanding staff and students of the month.

This is a friendly reminder for families of scholars enrolled in Saturday School. We are looking forward to seeing our scholars on Saturday, April 18, 2026, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Allendale-Fairfax Middle School.
