Allendale County Schools is having a district-wide community celebration and you’re invited! On March 21st from 10 AM–2 PM, enjoy bounce houses, fun games, food trucks, and student performances. Students can earn extra credit and dress down privileges just for attending. We hope to see everyone there to enjoy all of the exciting thing have planned for our families.
Congratulations to Layla Robinson, Fernanda Millan, and K'Jenae Cunningham for advancing to the next level of the 2026 National Civics Bee after being named among the Top 20 students in the competition! The National Civics Bee encourages students in grades 6–8 to grow in their knowledge of civics and community engagement. Our scholars will compete in the next round on May 16 at Barnwell Primary School.

Join us on March 23 for a free preventative screening provided by PEBA! This service is worth over $500 but comes at no cost to our employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents under the age of 19. You can also order more labs for an additional fee. They will examine your weight, height, blood pressure, lipid panels, blood work, and health risks. Please take advantage of this opportunity and check on your health!

Following the program, we invited faculty and staff to experience A Taste of Black History: Allendale-Fairfax Edition. Our selection included a variety of rice and pasta, plus savory meats and filling sides. These foods reflect the rich diversity, culture, and creativity woven throughout Black history. Sharing these dishes allowed us to honor tradition, celebrate culture, and recognize the powerful ways food can promote fellowship and connection.
Yesterday, Allendale-Fairfax High School hosted a Black History Program to honor and celebrate the rich history, legacy, and impact of Black culture. The program featured several moving performances by the AFMHS Chorus, including “Lift Every Voice & Sing,” “We Shall Overcome,” and “Pass Me Not.” We also recognized the winners of the MLK Jr. Oratory Competition and the Black History Poem Contest for their powerful and inspiring words. We extend our sincere appreciation to Cameron Seawright and Trey Nickelson for attending and using their voices to uplift and encourage our students.
Our Team of Nurses are working in collaboration with PEBA to secure free preventative health screenings for our employees, retirees, spouses, and or dependent children ages 19 and older. This screening will include check your health risk, blood pressure, blood work, lipid panels, as well as your height and weight. These services are worth over $500 and will be provided at no cost to you, unless you decide to undergo additional tests. Please reach out to Nurse Freeman at 839-529-4010 if interested.

Through music, drama, and dance, we will honor influential Black leaders, movements, and the lasting impact they have made on our world. Don't miss out on an inspiring and memorable program.
Satisfy your sweet tooth with ice cream! Today is the first day that our cafeterias will be selling ice creams starting at $1. We have a wide range of flavors including vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, watermelon, birthday cake, orange cream, and cotton candy. To purchase, just add funds to your meal account by following the instructions on the flyer or by downloading the LINQ Connect app on your device. Keep your account funded so you can purchase any of the delicious foods our three cafeterias offer.

Lunch just got a little sweeter! Our Food & Nutrition staff will be offering ice cream for sale beginning February 25, 2026. To purchase, just add funds to your meal account which is available for students, staff, and parents. We have a variety of options starting at $1 including ice cream sandwiches, fruit flavored bars, and ice cream cups!
