MEET THE PRINCIPAL

Shiela leath

Sheila Leath is a native of North Carolina, however she began her educational career in the Allendale County School District as a kindergarten teacher at Fairfax Elementary School. Ms. Leath has served in several capacities during her many years in the district including teacher, curriculum coordinator, assistant principal and principal.

Her educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement. Her educational philosophy is based on the uncompromising belief that all students can learn given a positive learning environment, knowledgeable leadership and a committed and focused educational team.

Ms. Leath views a collaborative school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. She believes partnerships with parents and community partners are essential to enriching the experience at Allendale Elementary.

Ms. Leath has received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood from Appalachian State University. She later went back to school and earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.

During her free time, Ms. Leath enjoys cycling, crafting and spending time with family and friends.
