An exciting day for our 5th graders! Today we held our 5th Grade Graduation at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. Our 5th graders are officially moving on and stepping into a whole new world—middle school. They've grown into independent young minds, ready to take on new challenges at our middle school. We are looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow and thrive!

Last but not least, Mrs. Marilyn Davis deserves a special shoutout for the beautiful decor she prepared for the event. The colorful, life-sized props really brought everything to life and set an upbeat mood for the ceremony. This level of decor takes lots of effort and preparation, so we appreciate you for taking out the time to make it happen. You are a true team player and we are grateful to have you!

We cannot celebrate the students, without acknowledging our Champions in the Classroom! The children have taken meaningful first steps in their academic journeys, but it is our teachers who walk along to support and guide them. We also want to thank the parents for constantly showing up and pouring into our schools. We are so grateful to the parents, educators, and staff who made this school year a success.

Some scholars were chosen for special awards due to their academic excellence and improvement. This achievement is the first of many, and we are so proud of how they have evolved this year. From morning songs to story time and counting to 100, our kindergarteners have come so far. We are so honored to help our little ones celebrate their big day!

During the ceremony, the students gave several endearing performances. It shows that our students have learned more than academics — they’ve also built the confidence to sing and speak. Our students have spent this year building foundational skills that will support a lifetime of success. We are so excited for their next steps and to welcome them back next year!

What a joyful day at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary, as we celebrated Kindergarten Graduation! There were big smiles, tiny caps, and proud families all across the gymnasium. Today was a beautiful reminder of how much growth and progress our children have made with early education. This day marks the end of one chapter and the exciting start of another. We cannot wait to see how our rising first graders will thrive next school year!

We were excited to celebrate our young scholars at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. To keep spirits high, the AFES Cheerleaders gave several performances throughout the ceremony. Students received honors for Principal's List, Honor Roll, and Perfect Attendance. Plus students who embodied integrity for the month of April were selected as Students of the Month. We are always glad to see family and friends come out to uplift our students, especially at a time like this when they need extra support.

Apologies for the delay, but we couldn't let the school year end without celebrating our April Birthdays! We are sorry we missed the announcement earlier, but we still want you to feel loved and celebrated! We hope your year has started off wonderfully and that your special day was filled with joy. We value having you on our team and look forward to another promising year ahead!

Here are the delicious bites you can expect for the month of April!

At Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School, Frog Street held a training for several of our teachers, paraprofessionals, and coaches. This training is hands-on and interactive, ensuring that our educators will teach the curriculum faithfully and effectively. We are excited to see how our pre-kindergarten students respond during the 2025-2026 school year.

We held a anti-bullying parade today at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School that was full of energy and excitement. Both children and adults enjoyed dancing to the live DJ, who played some of our favorite line-dancing and TikTok songs. We were warmed by the support of our local law enforcement, who were proud to participate in the parade. This moment truly brought everyone together and reminded us that peace is possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated or attend our Oratory Competition. Ms. Patterson deserves special recognition for organizing and planning this event for our scholars. It gives them a chance to learn more about MLK Jr., utilize their writing and critical thinking skills, and practice the art of public speaking. We also want to thank our judges and sponsors, your contribution made this event possible!

The judges were left with a difficult decision after hearing five inspiring speeches. Ultimately, Jordan Triplett won First Place for his empowering speech. Za'Karie Thomas had a powerful delivery and was First Runner Up. Jordyn Davis gave a motivating speech and earned Third Place. We also want to acknowledge Jayceon Brown and Kameron Dunbar for being part of our program.
