This year, we’re bringing you a carnival themed experience, where students can earn snow cones and popcorn by completing five engaging stations. We will also have face painting and fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss this evening of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery!
Don't forget we have be having a food drive sponsored by United Way this morning at 10:00 AM at the front of our AFMHS Gymnasium. Please line up near the DMV entrance no earlier than 9:30 AM. We will be distributing one box of food per car on a first-come, first-served basis. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support our community through this event.

Our blood drive with OneBlood is only one week away! It will be on next Tuesday from 9AM to 2PM and located in our AFMHS parking lot. Allendale-Fairfax High School, in partnership with United Way, will host a community food distribution on Thursday, November 13th, at 10:00 AM.
Lineup will begin at 9:30 AM, and participants must use the entrance located by the DMV. Please note that distribution is limited to one box per vehicle, and food will be provided while supplies last.. This is our joint effort to contribute to our community during this time of uncertainty.

We're excited about the Parenting Partners Graduation Ceremony tonight at 6 PM in the AFES Cafeteria! This celebration honors parents who have dedicated their time to learning strategies that strengthen family communication and enhance student success. By bridging school and home, this program empowers families and reinforces teamwork. We know that the tools the parents learn and use will help our scholars succeed.

Join our House Wars! We are asking each house (Opal, Topaz, Onyx, Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire) to bring can goods to support families who are less fortunate for the Thanksgiving holidays. We want to give back to the community. The house with the most cans collected will win an ice cream party. We will be collecting until November 19th. Please support!
Mrs. Davis, our guidance counselor, designed an interactive Haunted Hallway to help scare our students away from drugs! As part of our commitment to a drug-free environment and Red Ribbon Week, students toured the spooky gallery filled with eerie music, live monsters, and creative posters, all reminding them of our school wide pledge to stay drug free. A huge shoutout to our teachers and counselors for transforming the hallway and inspiring our scholars to make healthy choices!
Our Mindful Moment this week gets us in touch with our five senses! We can use our sense of touch, taste, sight, smell, and sound to practice mindfulness and ground ourselves. Share a special meal with your student and savor our turkey with rice and gravy, cranberry sauce, and warm buttered rolls. No walk-ins will be accepted, so reserve your spot before November 4th by RSVPing and sending your $8 payment. It’s a small price for a memorable meal and quality time with your child!
Our Parenting Partners Graduation Ceremony is happening next week on November 6th at 6 PM in the AFES Cafeteria! Join us as we celebrate the amazing parents who completed all six workshops! This program equips families with valuable tools for positive communication and effective discipline which helps them better support their scholars. This builds the relationship between home and school and helps our scholars thrive academically!

Please be reminded that all Allendale-Fairfax Elementary Honor Roll students are invited to the field trip to the Hampton County Fair on tomorrow, October 23rd. Students may dress down.
Thank you to the Tri-County Community Foundation for awarding Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School a grant for our new initiative, Growing Readers. Our principal, Audrey Patterson, and Pre-K 4 teacher, Willie Johnson, applied for the grant to expand classroom libraries, engage with families, and build foundational skills. These funds will support our efforts to boost literacy in our kindergarten classrooms. Early reading success sets the tone for our scholars’ future academic achievement.
