We celebrated Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day at AFES. One of our students, Emori Patterson, dressed as Bridges as she walked down our hallways escorted by our SRO Officer Jones. We also held a balloon release as a tribute to Bridges' bravery. She continues to be a symbol of equality and inclusion today, over 60 years later.

Mrs. Davis, our guidance counselor, designed an interactive Haunted Hallway to help scare our students away from drugs! As part of our commitment to a drug-free environment and Red Ribbon Week, students toured the spooky gallery filled with eerie music, live monsters, and creative posters, all reminding them of our school wide pledge to stay drug free. A huge shoutout to our teachers and counselors for transforming the hallway and inspiring our scholars to make healthy choices!
